Prayer & Praise

We just received this prayer request from a cousin in Detroit.

Hi all I am asking all to put a very special boy on a prayer chain. I just found out he has bone cancer and he is 14 years old. He is the son of a very good friend of mine. Please pray for him. He could lose his leg and if the chemo doesn’t work he could lose his life. Thank for all the support you can give.

a friend is leaving for Syracuse in a few days to meet with MD about her plan of tx.  All she knows now is chemo first then surgery. She covets your prayers.  She will feel your prayers, will wrap herself in the comfort and peace they bring.  This community of believers is so precious to her and she is so grateful for the prayers that will reach the throne of God on her behalf.
Soli Deo Gloria, for the glory of God alone

Up-Date on a friend was sent to me this morning, continue in prayer for her and thank you all .

Good morning, Folks,

I made a quick stop in to see her just before she was discharged from the hospital this morning.  I told her that I would let you know how she is doing via this method since she may not get to her computer for a day or two.

She had her surgery at about 12 yesterday and slept most of the day.  The surgeon took a couple more lymph glands than minimally planned, but that was a strong possibility anyway.  So the fact that more glands were taken than planned in not a bad sign.  The surgeon was being cautious.  She is to see the doctor on Monday to find out the results of the testing done on what was removed.

She rested overnight as well as she could with people waking her up to do what needed to be done and needed only one pain medication at 10 last night, so she seems to be comfortable.  As I walked into the room, she had a purple hat on her head which looked quite cute.  Her color was very good, and she seemed in good spirits as to “this is one more thing over.”  We visited a bit together as things were being worked out to release her from the hospital, and we prayed together.  Her husband was there to take her home.

For all of you who have been praying, thinking, and supporting her, I hope I have explained how she is doing well enough to you.  She assures me that she will get on the computer to tell her own story.

God bless all of you in her strength and faith circle.
