Well, I was not expecting to spend my 23rd anniversary in the ER. I had been having some pain over the last couple of weeks that came to a head today (can you say “denial”?) They ruled out cardiac, gall bladder, and lung issues and have settled on muscle strain. However, they have diagnosed me with high blood pressure. When I got to the ER it was 215/118 and when I left it was 179/100. I am on pain meds to see if reducing the pain will lower my BP, but I have to follow up with my doctor tomorrow. Please keep my BP in prayer. Hypertension does run in my family, so it was just a matter of time.

Just had a call from my sister in Ohio, Her son has fallen about 30 ft. He was airlifted to a hosp. He has broken arms, shoulders, back, tail bone ,hips, and legs, also collapsed lung, please keep my sister, nephew, and their family in your prayers

I’m going to be truthful, I hope I don’t make anyone mad. I had my back op and so far it’s been a fast bounce back. i what to thank all that has prayed for a torn soul like mine. Lately I need you guys now more then ever. I got a great wife and kids, but I’ve back slid and I do love God but I’ve felt mad, depressed ,and, after my uncle dying and my mother getting cancer, my great gramma get worse. I’m really trying to keep my head up and stay with God, but I’ve felt like riping off someone’s head . I keep things in. I don’t show anyone my weakness because I was brought up man don’t cry and let people in so I keep a harden shell so I don’t look like I’m weak ,I don’t smile and that’s because that’s not who I am, but with my Closer Walk famliy maybe I can get back to being closer to God again the way I was. I was happy then, but now not so much. I’m sorry but that is the truth of it, I loved serving on the Walks and I’ve given two talks, and I got God to thank for that my brothers for asking me to be there and the pastor that were there even if I did something that I did that they didn’t like, but that is who I am.

I want to thank you all for the prayers I’m feeling better.

My cousin’s grandson was born early and the mother is having problems too. Please pray for them. They really need the prayers.

Prayers needed for one of my staff members…TY

I was asked to post a request for prayer for a grandfather of a student. He went in for an MRI for symptoms he was experiencing and they found a tumor. He will find out whether it is malignant or not.

It is still so amazing to me to say the words…..Lord hear my prayer and then know He has heard and then to see how they were answered!!! It is truly a joyous day!! Thank you Jesus for walking with and sometimes carrying my girls!!

Not a requests, but some thoughts on trials.
In Colossians 1:11, Paul prays that “(you will be) strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long-suffering with joy.” This seems rather relevant to the topic of prayer requests, so I would like to share what I got out of that passage in my devotions today. From my study of the words “patience” and “longsuffering”, I conclude that we can be confident that God in His glorious power is not only able, but eager to make us rock solid strong to have a calm spirit in each trial, small or great, single or in great number, brief or long-lasting, no matter the character of our past responses. It is God who gives the strength, and this strength is absolutely sufficient for us to be courageous, content, and full of joy and thanksgiving in every circumstance he allows into our lives. Hallelujah!
Having this kind of response to trials has been my focus recently, so I was really blessed by these thoughts. I pray this for myself and for you, my brothers and sisters. May our Lord have joy as we receive this truth and take Him up on it.

God is good! My reservations at this “resort” have been rescinded and they are kicking me out.
I am home!!!!! They ruled the headache was due to the high blood pressure…the headache caused the blood pressure to keep climbing….thus the vicious cycle. I truly believe that the prednisone they put me on for the anaphylaxis started the chain reaction. But I am now feeling better, on BP medication, and looking forward to relaxing….thank you everyone for their prayers

Brother and sister Ii need praying for I’ve had my sixth back operation and i got a lump where they cut me open and they said it was a sack of fuild and once again I’m asking for you to pray for me. I feel I’m slipping away. I’ve been praying for another invite to serve on the walk. When I’m there I feel over joyed with the spirit of God and the Holy Ghost. I need my brothers and sisters more than ever, but I need it more than ever. Please help! I love all of you and a special thank to my brothers. Love you all more then you ever know

Please pray for my daughter, she had disk surgery in June. While out on medical leave, her employer filled her position, she is unemployed and buried financially. She has an interview on Friday. Please pray that it goes well. Thank you, Prayer Warriors!

they told her they would hold her job for 13 weeks, but they didn’t…it’s a small office with 6 or 7 employees….there’s less than 50 employees, so they don’t need to comply with FMLA. She is getting unemployment, but needs to be working…

Just found out that my b-i-l may have cancer. He went in to the doctor due to ear problems and his doctor found what he believes to be cancer on his tonsils. They will be following up to see if it has moved into the bones. I’m hoping it is something else entirely and will be rediagnosed by the second doctor. Please pray for him. This is the husband of the s-i-l that has been dealing with breast cancer these long months. Please hold the whole family before God. Thank you so much.

Asking for prayers for new born baby on her way to Rochester one day old not doing well. Pray for her parents and big sister.

UPDATE: our daughter, had her radiation this past weekend. She had her full body scan and she is cancer free. Yay! God has definitely blessed our family!!!!

Out of surgery. Went well. Reattached rotator cup. Removed some arthritis from collar bone spurs and shaved off bump from shoulder bone

Please keep us in prayer as we prepare to go to Haiti on Sept 4. Currently we are in need of four more sets of twin bed sheets. If anyone could bring them to the weekend we can get them at closing.

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! dear brothers and sisters, my heart is heavy today as I have found out that my nephew and his wife have broken their marriage. she is a good girl, and apparently he is having issues: drugs, abusing her, ignoring his son, and now has a girlfriend and is homeless living on a friend’s couch. Meanwhile this girl is dealing with healing because he choked her and hurt her and has to heal a broken heart as well. I am very disappointed in my nephew, but life happens sometimes and he has not had God in his life as my sister chose not to bring her children up in the Lord. This couple are only in their 20’s, and his son from a previous marriage is only 3 and has severe health issues, this girl is the only real mom this baby has known and now she can no longer be in his life. please pray with me for this family that healing will begin on all and that God will get ahold of them both. thank you

Please say a prayer for the family that lost 4 children in a house fire last night on Elmira’s Southside. I know the grandfather of these children as I went to school with him and I can only imagine the heartache he is feeling. God received 4 beautiful angels into His loving arms. My heart aches for them. Please also say a prayer for all the First Responder’s as this has to weigh heavily on their hearts.

My friend has taken another turn. She is not awake right now, her blood pressure is dangerously low, heart rate very fast and fever back up to 107. They are not sure why she is not awake, if it because of the pain or seizures. They shocked her heart earlier while she was awake to try to get it to slow down. Continued prayers, please.

My brother is in need of prayers. He has been out of work for a year, and is struggling with mental, physical and spiritual illness. Now he tells me that his ex-partner of 25 years is dying of esophageal cancer, and on life support. I know he believes in God, but he is so full of fear, that he cannot sleep, having nightmares. I mentioned Closer Walk, but I’m not sure that he is healthy enough for the weekend. Please pray for peace and comfort, for him, as well as his ex-girlfriend. Thank you, Jesus!

please keep my parents in prayer. my mom fell today and broke her hip. she is 82 and has been so fragile the last couple of years. right now she is in a lot of pain and the pain meds are making her sick. i don’t know what is going to be done. dad wasn’t sure if they will pin the hip or do a replacement. dad just got out of the hospital yesterday. he had a tia[ a mini stroke] wednesday. thank you

mom had surgery today. they put screws and a plate in her hip. when i left the hospital today, she still was in some pain and nauseous[ probably from anestesea ] the plan is for her to be in the hospital for 3-4 days and then rehab. thank-you for the prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am asking that you be in court with us today and you give the law guardian and my daughter the right words to say to protect the girls. I ask that you let the judge hear that we are trying to uphold the childrens rights, hear their voices through the adults that are trying to keep them safe and help them heal. You have not left our side in this matter since the beginning. Please somehow put an end to this forcible visitation request so the girls have time to heal. I ask that the judge see there is an issue and require the grandmother go to counseling before she can be around the girls. In these things I pray, Amen

Some neighbors could use some prayer. She is showing signs of giving over to denomic influences. He is going to be going to the Men’s Walk 101 and I’d love it for her to agree to go on the Women’s Walk. She’s reading the Alchemist and trying to convince a co-worker to break up with his family and take her in. Bad situation.
They have kids and I’ve been meeting with him regularly. Appreciate the prayers brothers and sisters!

What an amazing Sunday. We had 22 people from our church get baptized by submersion today, it is amazing to see what God has planned for everyone. The service was at one of our Elder’s house on Arbuckle Pond. Simply beautiful. God is Great!!

Just got a message that my mom’s half-brother has been bitten by a recluse spider, has Lymes’ disease and Rocky Mountain Fever and is in hospital undergoing surgery as his hands are turning black. Please pray for this man, his family, and the medical team working with him as they go through this. Thanks so much.
He is in pretty good spirits, all things considered. He has red welts all over his body from the waist down, and his skin is beat red above the waist. He is in a lot of pain and said his body just feels like it is burning up inside. He has many areas of blackened skin. He said if he scratches himself or bumps the bed rail, his skin turns black and literally falls off(?) He is in isolation, and the doctors have him on morphine for the pain, as well as to limit his movement because of the skin breakdown issues. He has a team of infectious disease docs working with him, but no one seems to know what is at the root of all of the issues beyond the spider bite on his arm. His blood counts are all still out of whack. I received an email from your mom saying she had called him this afternoon. He said he really appreciates everyone’s concerns. It’s hard for him to talk long because he feels so weak and groggy. I would be scared absolutely silly, but he’s a fighter. I hope that and the grace of God are on his side. I wish I had a happier update, but at least other family members are able to contact him, which adds to the support he so needs right now. Thanks again for keeping him in your prayers.

Mom is at james square nursing home for rehab. she is still not eating well because of nausea from the pain meds and anesthesia still being in her system. she is being given meds for nausea right along with the pain meds. all the staff that i saw yesterday were kind and caring. mom is angry with herself for falling and asking”why God, why” please pray that she will be able to eat so that she can heal and get her strength back and for her caregivers to continue to be kind and caring. my dad gets out of breath walking to her room. pray that he will stay healthy thru this and maybe even ask for a wheelchair when needed. my folks have been married 60 years. they worry more about the other than themselves. thank-you

Asking for prayers for a very dear friend who has had another bone marrow transplant because the first one didn’t cure his Leukemia. He is full of fluid and now has pneumonia and the fluid is affecting his heart and kidneys as well. He was moved to CCU in the night because the fluid is increasing and his breathing is affected now as well. Please lift him up in prayer and pray for strength and healing.

Thanks to God for my brother-in-law coming out of an accident with bumps, bruises and a probably broken rib. Someone ran a stop sign/light. Fortunately he was driving the car, not on the motorcycle. My sister drove from Perry, NY to Strong Hospital by herself. She sounds ok this am, but I am sure the what if’s will come along, She was in a severe car accident years ago and has issues this 40 + years later. Prayers for healing of mind and body for both of them. And praise for the minor injuries.

Praise God for answered prayer! I’ve asked for prayer for neighbors. The praise is that we prayed for her and that her reading of The Alchemist would be confusing for her and she wouldn’t soak anything in – that’s what happened. Praise God!

Prayers please…for my kids’ friend who was in a motorcycle accident over the weekend. He is in critical condition with multiple internal injuries and on life support.

Prayer warriors. A FB friend has asked me to pray for her grandson. He was born with a heart defect. He has been hospitalized; the doctors can’t get his blood and health regulated, and his hemoglobin is very low. Drs have scheduled balloon catheter on Friday but they are not sure his heart is strong enough for the surgery. Please pray for him and his mom; strength for both of them, for his little body, and for the doctors. Thank you.

There is nothing like waking up on Monday morning thinking that you are going to see all your wonderful new sisters and realize that you are back home in the world you left behind for three days. A little disappointing but a wonderful feeling knowing that you did not come back as the same person you were when you left.

Please pray for my brother-in-law. He has just been told that he has Stage 4 lung cancer and there is nothing they can do. This will be a tough journey.

My cousins good friend was diagnosed with cervical cancer in March. This week she starts daily treatments that will continue for the next 6 weeks. Please keep her and her family in your prayers

Please keep in prayer a friend of mine. She is 28 years old with a 3 year old daughter and has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has 6 fast growing tumors and will be having a double mastectomy very soon. She lost her Mom 4 years ago, unexpectantly, and took over caring for her 11 year old sister. She had to grow up really fast. She has had a lot of things to overcome and has done a great job with the responsibilities that she had to take on.

Prayers for a friend who will be having bypass surgery Wednesday. She is my son’s s.o.’s grandmother.

My son, has asked me to post a prayer request for the men at his work. It is pretty physically stressing and apparently 2 men have had heart attacks the past week and several more are complaining including him of pains in chest area. Please pray for these men, its not a glamorous job picking up trash but one we all need and are thankful for. thank you

About 3 weeks ago I asked for prayers for a young girl as they were looking to do gallbladder surgery on May 20. Just got word that she had the surgery this a.m. and everything went very well. She is expected to go home on Tuesday. Thank you all prayer warriors. God is so good.

Continue prayers for a friend as she recovers from a serious heart attack over the next few weeks. The heart mm needs to strengthen for her to have more blood vessels opened in the near future. Prayers for her husband on the home front too. We love them so much.

Please lift up prayers for my sister who was physically assaulted assaulted last night at a neighbor’s house house as she was trying to cut her friend`s hair. The women `s son attacked her and required police and paramedics to be called. She is recovering in hospital.

Prayer warriors, a friend is back in ICU at Hospital and in need of prayer. She has a very low sugar count and a very, very bad infection and appears to be losing ground as doctors are having a difficult time controlling her sugar. Prayers that the Lord intervene and guide the doctors to find the problem. Wanted to send an update before I leave for home. They have stopped both antibiotics because one of them caused her blood sugar to plummet and the other causes renal failure. They have discussed the possibility of losing her arm in order to save her life. Today she goes to the O.R. to debreed one last time. Her back wound has separated because the tissue is breaking down due to poor nutrition. She vomits when anything goes to her stomach. They have a feeding tube inserted, but cannot use because her bowels have “gone to sleep” and they need to be working before sending food that way. So…she remains on i.v. nutrition and glucose and will have the surgery when they can fit her in. It is imperative that she get better nutrition if she wants to survive. The biggest fear right now is if this bacteria gets into the wound on her back. There is not effective antibiotic at this point and the doctor is doing the debreedment and attaching wound vacs for lack of any other options. I have a feeling if this stay as is, there will be surgery to amputate next week. I guess we need to pray that the infection does not spread to the blood. Received a call from the surgeon at 1:30 a.m. What he thought would be an hour surgery turned into 4 hours. He has removed metal from elbow joint in the hopes of ridding her of the infection. Does not appear to have moved to the wound on her back, so keep praying about that. If this does the job, she will have use of hand in a limited way, but no elbow joint. If infection persists, then she will lose arm. Will let you know if any change. She is still not home free by any stretch, prayer is needed.

Update: Thank you for prayers; my daughter’s mole was benign,Praise God! My Mother is doing better, but she has to stay in nursing home for rehab. Continue prayer for my son who is still in pain, now not sure if it is kidney stones, having tests today to try to figure it out.

Need urgent prayers please!!! The young woman I asked for prayers for last week, needs help now. She is the one that was on the motorcycle and hit by a driver that was texting while driving, she is 20 and has a one year old son. She is in surgery as I write this having part of her lung removed. Her heart stopped earlier caused by a blood clot. They got her heart going but had to rush her to surgery. We are unsure of more details at this time. Will keep everyone posted as we hear more.

My brother appears in court today and may be doing jail time. He is at the bottom of the pit with crack. It is very difficult to go through as we love him so much. Please pray for our family. I posted this info here hoping it will stay within the community.

Please pray for a coworker. Her parents live in Florida and mom has had several strokes over the past 10 years. She was hospitalized Monday night for difficulty swallowing. All I got this am is that mom took a turn for the worse after I left work yesterday afternoon and she is heading to Florida this am. She is an only child and a single woman so she only has her parents. I know she is close with them and not taking this well. Let’s get to work prayer warriors!

I have no right to ask, but would you please ask your Lord to be beside me as I travel the dark journey of depression. I have not been this bad in 20 years…need to find the ability to find boot straps and pull them up. I know there are others that are suffering through worse times than me and suffering through far worse diseases, but I would gladly give my life to those that are fighting the battle so they can enjoy their lives..thank you.

I have a prayer request please pray for my son. He is having some issues. His car broke down and we tried to fix it but couldn’t. It’s going to have to go to scrap yard I’m afraid. He just doesn’t have the money to get another one as he’s been struggling financially. His spirits are down and he’s just ready to give up. He needs a car and since I’m not working, I can’t help him either, but God can. Thanks.

I am requesting prayers for my friend. He has stage 3 meningiomas (a non malignant tumor of the lining of the brain). He had surgery to remove most of it a few weeks ago and the remainder of it was to be treated with sterotactic radiation following some recovery from surgery. Stage 3 is the most aggressive form of this tumor and when they went last Monday for treatment it was too large for that form of radiation. Next Monday he is scheduled for daily radiation (M-F) in an attempt to reduce the size so that it may be treated with the sterotactic radiation. I have been asking God to perform one of his miracles for him and his family.

Tues I take my daughter, to see a radiation Dr. Thurs I take my son, to the GI Dr And I came down with a bad cold this morning.

I think we all have someone that gives a hard time and we do not like . I did at work .He did everything he could to make work hard. I do not know why .I learned on my Walk to pray for the ones that hurt us . This is very hard to do trust me I did it . Don’t do it for them do it for you .God is so great and forgiving we don’t need to understand just accept Him and his love .

When it rains it pours; trying to put it all in God’s hands….waiting for results of my daughter’s large mole that was removed,and for results on prolactin tumor,part of the pituitary gland…God gave her healing and pray it is still normal, another daughter who will be going through a divorce, son with kidney stones, and yesterday my brother took my Mom to the ER because she was in pain when trying to walk, and found out she has a broken hip.Could sure use prayers for my whole family. I love you Lord, and I know you will take care of us.

Asking for prayers for my sister’s boyfriend. He suffers from diverticulitis and has had several setbacks in recent months. He was readmitted from the ER this week and needs surgery for perforations. They are hoping and praying to be able to get the infection under control before having to do surgery. Prayers that healing occurs and the surgery is successful whenever doctors have to do it. Thank you all. He is a praying man and this will mean much to him.

What a wonderful Ultreya last night. 25 people of God showed up to do Gods work for the upcoming activities. Considering all the events on Friday this was a God send! We celebrated our Lord with prayer, fellowship, Glorious music, more prayer and recognizing our Lords wondrous grace. Welcoming new God filled roosters was our honor.

It was a great pleasure to serve the Women’s Team for Walk #100!!! Thank you ladies for blessing our church with your presence in our church 😀

Please pray for my fiance’s best friend. She is about 6 weeks from her due date and has developed pre-eclampsia. She is on her way to the hospital. They may have to deliver the baby tonight depending on the severity. Please pray for her and her baby. Thank you.

Last night my brother called me in tears. It was his 61 birthday. He drives truck and had an urgent message to come home asap from his wife who was admitted to the hospital. He said she has cancer. His heart is broke. Last Sunday they were in church and went to the alter and both accepted Christ and became born again. Please pray for them. For healing and understanding, and for the medical teams just now being formed. Thank you prayer warriors.

I am asking all you Prayer Warriors to once again pray for a very dear friend of mine. I had asked for prayers before for him as he was dealing with Leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. I praised the good Lord for him being Leukemia free after the transplant. I received news from him that his Leukemia has returned and is now at Hospital where he needs a bone marrow biopsy. Please keep him in your prayers, he has such strong faith that Jesus healed him before and will do so again. Thanks

I had my surgery and it went well, a long wait but well. Thanks for all the prayers and love. God is Great!! I still am in need of prayers for the radiation, in 3 weeks. I’m home resting,, no pain yet~ and I feel great!! Decolores!

Please join me in praying for my hubby, the doctors, and nurses, as he has deviated septum surgery tomorrow morning at 9:45 am. Also my friend, and her medical team as she has her gall bladder removed at 11 am tomorrow. Thank you, Prayer Warriors!

have a prayer request, my neice’s husband nephew is alive but has tried to shoot himself in the face to kill himself. please pray with me that this boy’s life will be saved and his pain will be turned to joy as Jesus sends someone to his room.

Hey prayer warriors, I posted recently for my friend he lost his wife. The same day she passed away he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Doctors gave him 6 months. Please pray for comfort and peace. He is a mess. Started chemo today (April 23rd) will be in hospital till Friday out on Saturday for funeral then back in for more chemo. My heart breaks for him. God Bless.

I’m asking for prayers for my husband. He is at work right now, and gets off in about 15 minutes. He will be driving straight to Michigan from work to attend the funeral of his best friend. Then because his boss decided to schedule him to work on one of the days that she promised he could have off, He will be leaving straight from the funeral to return to work 🙁 Tim has lost 3 loved ones in the last 7 months (His Aunt, His Father, and His Best Friend) He is having a hard time with all of this, and is not doing nearly as well as he appears to be, so please keep him in your prayers. Thank you. ?

Prayers please for a 14 year old 8th grader from. She has been having serious stomach issues for the past year. She has been to dr after dr and numerous tests. They have finally concluded that her gallbladder is functioning very little if at all and they believe she has autoimune problems. They are looking at surgery for this young lady. Want to hold off surgery til May 20 so she can go through the state testing and not miss any more school and will not have to repeat 8th grade. We are asking for prayers for her to be well enough to take the state tests and finish the school year and also asking for prayers for her as she goes through surgery, prayers for wisdom for the doctors and peace for all as the family goes through this together. She does not know of the surgery yet. She and her mother and brother truly believe in the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit. She has been on the Sunday School quiz team at her church and has truly excelled. Her mother and our daughter, have been best friends through school and she was flower girl at our daughter’s wedding 6 years ago. Thank you prayer warriors.

Got some news today. We go to the radiation Dr on Tue May 7th for my daughter and she also found out that the place she just started working for less than a week ago is closing their doors. So now they are both without jobs. 🙁

I am asking for prayers for my 11 yr old daughter. She has been complaining of ankle pain and swelling so I took her to the Dr’s. The Dr ordered x-rays to rule out stress fractures and also 18 different blood tests (testing for Lyme disease, autoimmune diseases among other things). She had the x-rays today and will have the bloodwork tomorrow. Pray it isn’t anything serious and that the Lord will give me the strength to walk the path before us.

My husband’s cousin, lost her battle with leukemia last night, May 3rd.  We are so saddened by the loss of a cousin/friend/precious sister in Christ.  Thank you so much for your prayer support.  We are blessed to have such a precious praying family and friends in a time like this.
