Secretariat Reminder

This is a reminder that Secretariat meets this friday at First United Methodist Church 99 South St in Auburn.
All are welcome to attend.
Acts 14:26 Paul and Barnabas returned by ship to Antioch of Syria, where their journey had begun. The believers there had entrusted them to the grace of God to do the work they had now completed.
We too have been entrusted to the work GOD has given us to do!
Please remember to pray about and submit names for the fall leadership. It would also be helpful to have some knowledge about the person being submitted (i.e. which walk they attended, what church involvement they have had, any other info they would like to share with Secretariat)
If you cannot attend please submit an e-mail report to me and Joelle for the position/Ultreya you are currently responsible for.

Prayer Request

Talked with our friend in SC whose son had the brain tumor removed.Shared that son went see a specialist for an evaluation about a treatment plan in NYC. He will be following this plan. Dr from NYC will supervisor treatment plan which will be done at Upstate. This will mean shorter travel { from Auburn to Syracuse. He shared that his son has a very good outlook on the situation, while the family is struggling and breaking down. Prayers for the family. In talking with him, shared that some days are difficult and he can’t even talk about it. Prayers for son that God will comfort and strength him and help him on this most difficult journey.
Yesterday we received a call from our Spiritual Son. It is truly amazing to see and hear the work that God has done in his life. He called to share that he was on his way to the Drs. As he was walking he was talking to us all the way. It is close to a 10 mile walk each way. This is truly amazing as he had surgery on his lung last November. No longer on oxygen, has quit smoking since the surgery. Upon returning he said he got a good report from the Drs. ” We Praise God for the awesome work and transformation he has done in his life over the past six years. He is also searching and praying for a vehicle. One that he can afford to be able to get around. We also ask for prayers since his electric keyboard broke. { Something with the plug} We know how important the keyboard has been. It has been with him when he was homeless, in treatment, etc. He cannot read music but it is truly amazing to see how God has gifted him to play many original God inspired songs. I have talked with a friend here who is an electronic tech, who is going to see what he may be able to do. Going out to get another is not easy, especially since he is so used to this make and how the functions work. We pray that God will work this out for him.
I also ask for prayers for me personally. God knows my need.

Prayers

Two weeks ago, my brother-in-law, had a stroke. He ended
back in the hospital with complications from the stroke. Now I hear
he has had a heart attack. Please lift my brother-in-law and sister, in prayer.
She is a believer and I did recently send her a prayer shawl. Thank
you, prayer warriors.

Prayer Requests

Prayers needed for my health. Went in hospital for emergency procedure for kidney stone. Waiting for clearance to be readmitted next week for stone removal and stent placement due to severe infection last week. Need the strength of God to help with my health one day at a time.

Just got this from one of my parishioners. Baby is just a couple of weeks old…

Here we are in mother and family. Little girl needs our prayers. She had come home from the hospital on Friday and last night had difficulty breathing. After speaking with the neo natal center, parents took her to the ER. She is now at the pediatric floor. They have her on oxygen and an IV for hydration. She has dropped off her feeding from 2 1/2 -3oz to 3/4oz every 2hrs. She is a fighter and might I say absolutly beautiful!

Mother had just come home to get some sleep and then she would relieve father, that lasted all of 45 min. She got up and said she needed to go back, tried to have her sleep but no avail, oh how I understand. It’s very difficult to sit back and be unable to do anything but support and pray to God for the strength and healing they all need. the big brother is doing well, but the concern is very appearant.

The prayer chain here is in effect and now I’m asking that our prayer warriors back home lift this wee one, her mom and dad and brother up in prayer. Will continue to email the progress baby will be making in the next day or so.
