We Need Your Help!

Southern Sonshine is not currently meeting and is seeking new leadership. This Ultreya is in the Earlville area please prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to take the leadership and organization of this group.

Secretariat is also in immediate need of some people to take over the responsibility of Cleanup Coordinator(s). As many of you know Sue has been called to a church and will not be able to continue in Secretariat. Blaine will need some help as this job is too big for one coordinator and the July men’s weekend fast approaches.

We are also in urgent need of a couple of people to take over the responsibility of Kitchen Coordinator and Assistant Kitchen Coordinator. Melanie and Sharleen have done quite a nice job, but it is time for them to train the next team of wonderful cooks, chefs, and barbecue specialists.

We will also be looking for several positions to be filled at the end of this year.
If you are being led to consider helping in this capacity please let me, or someone on Secretariat, know.

URGENT REQUEST TO COMMUNITY from the Community Coordinators:
We are in DESPERATE NEED of LANYARDS for the upcoming weekends!!! We have enough for the men’s weekend, but that’s about it!!! If you have some made up, please bring them to the men’s weekend and give to Kevin, Tami, Lisa or Carl!!! If you want to make arrangements to get them to us some other way- send an email to community@closerwalkuny.com

Secretariet Reminder

Hello to all Secretariat and Ultreya Leaders,

This is a reminder that we meet Friday September 21st in Auburn. 7pm for Ultreya Leaders and 7:30 for fellowship and Communion immediately followed by a business meeting. We will be voting this month for the Spring weekend leaders for Walk #99. The Men’s leader will be Lou Woods. The Women you have been praying over are Renee Jock, Kathy Wade, and Julie Richards. If you cannot attend Secretariat, since many of you will be supporting the Men’s weekend in Horseheads, please get your vote to me through e-mail, or in person by Friday at 3pm.

I know God has wonderful plans for the men attending this walk. Please keep them and the men’s team covered in prayer.

The Koinonia #54 Weekend will be held October 6-8 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown, NY.

The first applications for candidates have arrived (3 so far :-)) We have spaces available for candidates (both guys and gals) grades 10-12/ages 15-18.

Please return completed forms as soon as possible so they can be processed in a timely manner and candidates can prepare to attend (AND team, kitchen, and community can prepare as well).

Lastly, please grab your calendar and mark October  7th (yes, it’s a Sunday) at 6pm for Holy Hour (at Watertown: Asbury UMC) with HOOT to follow at about 7 PM.  This is an awesome way to show God’s love and your love and support for these young people!  You don’t want to miss it.
