I would like to ask for prayers for my son, who is 3 and will be having surgery for his adnoids on Thursday. He will be put to sleep and they are going to look at his adnoids and if they are bad remove them, test him for allergies and look at his sinuses and do a culture of them. It is the first time he has had anything done like this. Please pray for the Dr’s, my son and our entire family. I know he will be taken care of, but I am very nervous already about it

Please lift the VdC #13 men’s team and pilgrims in prayer for their upcoming weekend April 19th – 22nd at Westminister Presbyterian Church in Utica. Pray a hedge of protection around each team member and their families, the pilgrims that God has called to come to this weekend and their families. VDC Weekend Information
Here is a reminder about the upcoming VDC weekends. Look for the community signs to know where in the church we will gather. Times are generally accurate, but also dependent upon where the team and pilgrims are in their schedule.
Please forward this to the prayer chain folks and also Closer Walk, although I know our weekends overlap.
Men’s weekend:
April 19 – Sponsor hour – after the pilgrims are delivered and settled.
April 21 – Holy Hour – 6pm, serenade to follow at approximately 7pm
April 22 – Las Mananitas (gather at 5:30 am), Break-in, and closing, gather around 2pm
Dates for the Women’s weekend:
May 10 – Sponsor hour – after the pilgrims are delivered and settled.
May 12 – Holy Hour – 6pm, serenade to follow at approximately 7pm

Directions to church: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Utica NY
From the West and East: Using New York State Thruway.
Take exit 31 Utica from the New York State Thruway. Keep left at the fork and follow signs for Genesee St. for 1.4 miles, then turn right on Court St. Take the first right onto Broadway and go 340 feet to the parking lot on the left. The usable lot is JUST past the Municiple Building parking lot. Entrance to the church is directly across the street.
From the North:
Take Route 12 south to the State Street exit. Bear left then turn Right onto State Street. Take a left onto Court Street. Take another left onto Broadway. Go 340 feet to the parking lot on the left. The usable lot is JUST past the Municiple Building parking lot. Entrance to the church is directly across the street.
From the West using the Arterial (Route’s 12, 5, 8)
Head east through Utica and take a right on Court Street. Then take a left on Broadway, go 340 feet to the parking lot on the left. The usable lot is JUST past the Municiple Building parking lot. Entrance to the church is directly across the street.

My husband…eye pressures soar because of his glaucoma, given different meds yesterday and Dr. gives him a week for the pressures to come down or they will need to perform laser surgery.
a friend…24 wks pregnant…major contractions today…going to see Dr. this afternoon…too early yet for birthing
a friend…her mom has come home from the nursing home to recover at her home…major prayer just now is that she can learn to transition easily from the wheel chair to the bed etc.
a friend…needs a new roof
a friend…nephew died in motor cycle crash…sister in for emergency surgery on her diabetic affected foot…parents in ill health

Update to earlier request-
A couple days ago I requested prayer for a friend that had just learned he had a heart attack. He is still in the hospital, had a stent put in that night for the right atery that was 100% blocked. He just learned this afternoon that he has to have another stent put in tomorrow for the other artery that is 70% blocked. They said he was lucky he made it this far and that he got to the hospital when he did. He is only 39 years old and still has a lot of things left to do in this world. His girlfriend has been by his side as much as the nurses will let her. Please continue to pray for him and his girlfriend and the Dr’s

Please pray for the family of a 14 yr old girl hit by a car Friday night, she did not make it. She is in my sons class and her brother is my son’s friend. Her family is suffering and needs lots of prayer. Also, please pray for the kids and faculty at the school and the police and rescue team that helped.

Burning Bush Ultreya
Burning Bush Ultreya will not be meeting in April due to the Closer Walk and Vio de Christo men’s weekends. Please attend the men’s weekends and support the team and candidates if you are able. The Closer Walk weekend is April 19 – 22nd at the Church of the Nazarene in Syracuse. The Vio de Christo weekend is also that weekend at the Westminister Baptist Church in Utica.
