My husband…eye pressures soar because of his glaucoma, given different meds yesterday and Dr. gives him a week for the pressures to come down or they will need to perform laser surgery.
a friend…24 wks pregnant…major contractions today…going to see Dr. this afternoon…too early yet for birthing
a friend…her mom has come home from the nursing home to recover at her home…major prayer just now is that she can learn to transition easily from the wheel chair to the bed etc.
a friend…needs a new roof
a friend…nephew died in motor cycle crash…sister in for emergency surgery on her diabetic affected foot…parents in ill health

Update to earlier request-
A couple days ago I requested prayer for a friend that had just learned he had a heart attack. He is still in the hospital, had a stent put in that night for the right atery that was 100% blocked. He just learned this afternoon that he has to have another stent put in tomorrow for the other artery that is 70% blocked. They said he was lucky he made it this far and that he got to the hospital when he did. He is only 39 years old and still has a lot of things left to do in this world. His girlfriend has been by his side as much as the nurses will let her. Please continue to pray for him and his girlfriend and the Dr’s

Please pray for the family of a 14 yr old girl hit by a car Friday night, she did not make it. She is in my sons class and her brother is my son’s friend. Her family is suffering and needs lots of prayer. Also, please pray for the kids and faculty at the school and the police and rescue team that helped.

My friend and her husband have lost yet another in their family. I don’t know all of the details but God knows them all.
Their  son Jacob and his wife and their children ages 3 1/2 years and 3 1/2 months live in Kansas. This morning they got a phone call that daughter in law age 27 died. Please pray for comfort and care, for peace and for help in this transition and mostly that son and his children will continue to hold tight to Jesus during this very sad time.

Please pray for our neice who lives and works in Scotland (her family is in the states). She has been struggling with horrible headaches where even touching her hair hurts. After much testing they have determined she has something called Chiari Malformation (this is where her cerebellum is slipping down and pushing on her spinal column). She needs an MRI to determine why – is it being pushed, etc. They cannot get her in for an MRI until after Easter (government health care in Scotland). Possibly meningitis or tumor or what? They do not dare do a lumbar puncture for fear of sucking the brain down further. In addition her work visa needs to be renewed soon. If she comes home to the states she does not have health care coverage here. Her father and both sets of grandparents have died and her mother is not in her life either so she is really quite alone family wise with the exception of her younger sister who lives on the west coast, aunts, uncles, neices and nephews, cousins, who have taken up the slack.

Please pray for Pastor. She was admitted to the Hospital today with pain and will be transferred to a different Hospital tomorrow.

Prayers for my nephew and his fiance. Her nephew was killed yesterday in a motorcycle/truck accident. He was on the motorcycle. He was 19.
Also her sister, today, is being scheduled for emerg. surgery for her foot…diabetic complications…they are trying to keep her from losing it.
Prayers that we can pray a hedge of protection around the family…and as ever, God’s will.

Need urgent prayers for a friend here in Florida. He has been having chest pains since last night. He is at the hospital as I write this with severe chest pains and just got test results back that he has had a heart attack. The Dr’s told him he is lucky he has made it this far. He is a young man, does not drink, smoke or do drugs and thought he was healthy. His girlfriend will be keeping us posted on how he is and what happens next. Please pray that he can overcome this heart attack and get whatever help he needs to get the problem fixed.

Please keep a friend in prayer on Monday, April 9 as she goes in for back surgery. She is not feeling well and also needs prayer for upcoming tests. for strength.

I went and saw a friend in the hospital. She looked good, but is very tired. Please continue to keep she and her husband in prayer.

Our God is the great physician and loves all petitions brought to Him in prayer.

On the way to the E. R. this morning with grandson he said…Nana…why are you calling so many people to pray for me? I said, Ya know…when you have a need, you ask your friends to storm the gates of heaven lifting up that need to God…in this case our need is you and just like papa let the hospital know we were coming, we also wanted God to know too. With his wise little eyes staring into mine he said…well, thanks that’s good, but I think God already knows. Ya gotta love it!
He lost a lot during his uncontrollable nose bleed, but on the way the bleeding stopped. He was checked out and all his vitals were good, and they told us to keep an eye on him, but there wasn’t anything to do on their part. I know it was the prayer.

Please cover our granddaughter in prayer.  She was to have surgery today (3/27), but the surgeon was only able to do an exploratory procedure.  She is now being referred to a surgeon at hospital, but we do not know when this will happen.  Pray for good decisions to be made and peace for her and her family.  God knows the rest of the story.  Thank you all.

Her mother will be spending the next 8 months in jail.
for some reason instead of leaving her here with us,where she spends most all her time and has since she was 2wks old,her mother has a boyfriend that has spent very little time with her in charge of this child and he just lets any one that will take her have her.
I’m sure most of you remember that she is not a healthy child and needs lots of care.
I know God has a plan for her but we can’t help but feel lost without her.

Please pray for my husband. He was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago with colon (spread to the liver) cancer. While at home awaiting to start chemo, he fell and now has multiple fractures to the face. Please pray for his health, his spirit and a coordinated effort by his health care team. He is in Hospital.

Please pray for a friend and his 2 daughters. He is a single dad and struggling in the parenting department. We all know how trying it can be raising teenagers. Please pray for God’s guidance in this family.

Please hold Pator and her family in your prayers as they lost everything in a house fire Friday night.  They were not harmed and their dogs were able to get out.  A lady that lives in the upstairs apartment was not at home, but her dog passed away.  This is all of the information that we know at this time, but will pass anything along as soon  as we know of anything.

A change from last update…..
The removed cyst on 2/ 24 was fully analyzed and it was determined to be Stage 3. This prompted another test – a PET scan- which is radioactive sugar water …it is introduced into the suspected area and it will  “light up” if it is positive…..there was some ‘lighting up’ in the throat area…

This prompted another biopsy  of the throat area, This was done this past Tues, 3/ 20. The initial report from pathology -that same morning- was CLEAR…..She has been home since then as she has no voice. They scraped pretty hard and probably rubbed the vocal chords pretty good too.

What is confusing is that there seems to be some doubt as to what is really there…biopsies are clear – yet the scans  and tests show ‘something cloudy/questionable’….??..??

At any rate her local team of surgeon, oncologist and radiation guru are in agreement that there should be a combination of chemo and radiation….to the tune of 33 radiation shots  @ 5 per week and  chemo 1 per week….for about 7 weeks….pretty aggressive but their logic is she is physically strong and otherwise healthy in order to handle the treatment….

We have a 2nd opinion set for Mon/ Tue- so we will shuffle off Mon AM. We meet the oncologist Mon afternoon and Radiation Doc on Tue AM. If there is concurrence on their end as to the prescribed treatment plan that is on tap by Docs- then we’ll proceed to git r dun….we’ll get back and begin the process…

She will be outfitted for a protective mask to wear during radiation and get a tube for feeding . She will likely not be able to eat solid food as her throat will be extremely sore….Voice will probably change and hair will likely fall out…..in all of this , she maintains a positive attitude….and I thought I was tuff..??..??

And she IS tuff- as most of you can attest to….she must be- for putting up with my schitt for 25+ years…..think good thoughts and plenty of prayers for her…..

Request prayers for a friend’s wife, and the whole family as she battles can-cer in the area of her vocal cords.  She is facing chemo and radiation.  To do this, she will need to be fed through a tube.  They are going for a second opinion, prior to making any firm plans.  Prayers are needed, warriors!
