Closer Walk #94 Reunion

Volunteers to provide child care at the 94th Post Walk Gathering are needed for August 20th.

Two volunteers are needed to volunteer to provide child care at the gathering. One must be 18 years old or older, the other 25 years old or older. The gathering will begin at 9 AM, and end at 3 PM. The location is the Cortland First United Methodist Church, 734 State Route 222 Cortland, NY. The first sessonis from 10-1130 Am, and then 1-2:15 PM.

To meet Safe Sanctuaries requirements, background checks will be required. Please pray about this opportunity to serve, and respond by email to gramseyer@twcny.rr.com. Questions, please call 315-330-3492.

Secretariat Reminder

Greetings!! I hope this email finds you all well. Just a reminder that secretariat meets this Friday, August 19th at 7:30 pm at Auburn UMC. Ultreya leaders please try to gather at 7 pm for your own meeting and discussion.

We will have a time of singing and fellowship followed by a brief meeting. This meeting will primarily be just updates and reports as I am still waiting to get some more info on Insurance. All are welcome to attend the meeting although only members may vote on items that require it….

It would be really good to hear from some ULTREYAS we haven’t heard from in awhile. Let us know how you are doing.

Don’t forget…NAMES need to be submitted by your Ultreyas by the September meeting for the following: Leaders for the spring weekend AND Leaders for the summer weekend. IF YOUR NAME has been submitted before, or YOUR ULTREYA HAS SUBMITTED NAMES before, please resubmit them if those people are willing to have their names put in again. I WILL NOT CARRY OVER NAMES from previous votes. RESUBMIT! Give names to your Ultreya Leaders and then your Ultreya Leaders can pass them on to me.

Also, We need any other nominations for new Lay Director to take over in January 2012. So far, I have Sue Acker and Cyndi Jenkins. We will need to get the vote out in October, so names must be submitted by the September meeting!! Again- please submit names through your Ultreya. THE PEOPLE BEING NOMINATED need to know they are being nominated and it should be discussed at your Ultreya meeting!! Thanks!

Announcement to Members of Previous Teams

To all past and present Upper New York Closer Walk, YAC/YAK, and Chrysalis / Koinina team me team members,

It is the desire of the Closer Walk of Upper New York to develop a list of past speakers willing to share their talk(s) with other Ultreya(s) as well as there own. These talks should be ones given on a Closer Walk of UNY and WTE weekend and been lovingly critiqued by their team. We are also very interested in including YAC/YAK and Chrysalis/Koinina speakers on this list.

As Ultreya Coordinators Ellen and I are praying that we have a long list of speakers and a strong interest by the Closer Walk Ultreyas to invite speaks to give their Spirit driven talks.

The Ultreya offering the invitation should be prepared to provide food and lodging to the invited speaker and spouse as required. An Ultreya member’s home is a suggestion but other arrangements maybe work better. It is the decision of the Ultreya offering the invitation. Gas might be a consideration as Elmira to Massena is a long way. I leave this to you and the Holy Spirit.

We fully understand the sensitive nature of some parts of the witnessing and perhaps some of it would need to be edited and modified before presentation, all understand this. The content presented is at the discretion of the speaker.

We will be making a spreadsheet with names and speaker information.
