We are asking for prayers for the a friends family as their Mom, journeyed home to Jesus yesterday. She has had years of significant health issues from which she has rebounded numerous times. Her prayer during recent years has been, “Jesus, bring me home.” Although her family is happy for her, they feel her loss deeply.

I am asking for prayers for a very good friend of mine. She needs prayer for health concerns. I am not sure what is going on yet, but she said she needs all the prayers she can get. She is a firm believer of the Lord and what he can do.

Prayers requested for our sister-in-law. She twisted her ankle yesterday on return from vacation and broke the tibia and fibia in her ankle. Had surgery this morning. She is supposed to go home tomorrow. Prayers for healing and quick recovery.

Please pray for my family. Alzheimers has not only stolen my father from me, it is destroying the relationship between my siblings. Our family in its hurt is turning on each other and I am heartbroken.

Once again a friend will be having a chemo treatment tomorrow , Thursday. This is her 5th treatment out of 6 and then everything depends on tests results over time. Knowing that you are praying for her has been an enormous source of strength and comfort. Please continue to lift her up in prayer.

Prayer was answered before I even had time to post it…

YAHOOOO God is good….ALWAYS!! I had another scan and was taken upstairs to go into my room. Neurosurgeon came in – told me first scan said “hemmorage” and then ran me through some test and then told me new scan is clear!! He then said discharge!! Yahoooo!! I prayed hard and I know you were all praying and took care of things! My body aches from the fall but let me tell you I did the ‘dance’ at the hospital elevator!! Thank you for the prayers and look forward to what is to come!!

Please pray for a friend who fell 5 feet yesterday and hit her head. CT scan indicated a bleed. Right now, she is on her way back to the hospital for an MRI and to meet with the neurosurgeon. Please pray for her healing, for good medical judgement and knowledge and for peace for her and her family, that they would place their hope and trust in Jesus, and fix their thoughts on Him (Isaiah 26:3) because we know He is the answer!!! Thank you, prayer warriors!…

Closer Walk #94 Reunion

Volunteers to provide child care at the 94th Post Walk Gathering are needed for August 20th.

Two volunteers are needed to volunteer to provide child care at the gathering. One must be 18 years old or older, the other 25 years old or older. The gathering will begin at 9 AM, and end at 3 PM. The location is the Cortland First United Methodist Church, 734 State Route 222 Cortland, NY. The first sessonis from 10-1130 Am, and then 1-2:15 PM.

Secretariat Reminder

John 20:21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

Greetings!! I hope this email finds you all well. Just a reminder that secretariat meets this Friday, August 19th at 7:30 pm at Auburn UMC. Ultreya leaders please try to gather at 7 pm for your own meeting and discussion.

We will have a time of singing and fellowship followed by a brief meeting. This meeting will primarily be just updates and reports as I am still waiting to get some more info on Insurance. All are welcome to attend the meeting although only members may vote on items that require it….

It would be really good to hear from some ULTREYAS we haven’t heard from in awhile. Let us know how you are doing.

Don’t forget…NAMES need to be submitted by your Ultreyas by the September meeting for the following: Leaders for the spring weekend AND Leaders for the summer weekend. IF YOUR NAME has been submitted before, or YOUR ULTREYA HAS SUBMITTED NAMES before, please resubmit them if those people are willing to have their names put in again. I WILL NOT CARRY OVER NAMES from previous votes. RESUBMIT! Give names to your Ultreya Leaders and then your Ultreya Leaders can pass them on to me.

Also, We need any other nominations for new Lay Director to take over in January 2012. So far, I have Sue Acker and Cyndi Jenkins. We will need to get the vote out in October, so names must be submitted by the September meeting!! Again- please submit names through your Ultreya. THE PEOPLE BEING NOMINATED need to know they are being nominated and it should be discussed at your Ultreya meeting!! Thanks!
