Secretariat Reminder

PSALM 145; A psalm of praise. Of David.
1 I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.

GREETINGS! And yet another month has flown by! Thanks to all of you who have supported this incredibly busy fall season- men’s weekend, Koinonia weekend and via de cristo weekend, and in another week, the women’s weekend!! This COMMUNITY continues to exist and amaze everyone involved because of the strength of the great number of you who support every weekend!!

Just a reminder that secretariat meets this Friday, October 21 at 7:30 pm at Auburn UMC. The Ultreya leaders will meet at 7 pm and the rest of us will meet at 7:30 in the sanctuary for singing and fellowship, followed by our business meeting. Then for those of who who want to, we’ll meet at Denny’s afterward for some more fellowship and of course, food!

If this is your first time attending secretariat, all are welcome to attend and be involved in meeting discussions, but only secretariat members may vote on items requiring it.

Thanks and hope to see you Friday night. Don’t forget to email reports and votes if you’re not going to be there! God Bless and safe travels!!!! Kevin Farnsworth, Lay Director Closer Walk of UNY

Koinonia

Koinonia #52 Weekend will be held at Bath Centenary UMC in Bath, NY October 8-10. We still have a few important needs from our community.

· We can really use a nurse or doctor to work with us for the hour of out registration on Saturday 9am -10am. We need to record all the medications brought in and set up a simple schedule for weekend. Please email as soon as possible if you can gift some of your time and talents.

· We are still in need for male and female Fireflies for Saturday (8th) and Sunday night (9th). If you don’t mind skipping a night of sleep ( 11PM-6 AM), and are over the age of 21 please drop us a note at bderooy1@twcny.rr.com with which night you can help and your phone number and we can provide a “job out line”. If we have a few for each night we can actually break up the overnight into shifts…lessening the load.

· and finally Folks to attend the HOOT Sunday evening to show our caterpillars and team how much AGAPE love our community has for them ! 6PM Holy hour and 7 PM HOOT ( please make sure you eat before hand as we do not have planned meal for that event)

Please come to support the weekend, to serve behind the scenes and be blessed!

Thanks and blessings! Martani and Ben de Rooy

Applications

Hi Everyone! It has come to my attention that the Closer Walk application that is posted on the website in .doc format is the incorrect one, however, the one in pdf format is correct. I have sent a message to the website manager and I’m sure that this will be changed as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you can not open a pdf file, download the .doc application, but send it to:

Tami Farnsworth
2595 E. Main St.
Stanley, NY 14561

If you have old applications, you can still use them, but please note the address change.

Thanks!

Fresh Grounded Faith

Any questions, call or text 315-806-5178.
I know that this is the men’s weekend, but ladies spend Friday night and Saturday morning in Liverpool, then continue on to Boonville for holy hour, serenade and a little help in the kitchen. Praise and glorify and worship our Lord and Saviour. Share this event with with your girlfriend. This is a great event to bring your unchurched girlfriend to. At $19.00, it’s a less threatening environment for some. Bring the burdens and the turmoil, bring them to the cross.

Abundant Grace,

33 Miles/Todd Agnew Tour: Cancelled

Boy, I no sooner sent out a reminder than we end up canceling.

The 2 other cities on the tour are Milton, PA and Endicott, NY and they have had to cancel due to major issues with flooding. So, the tour has been postponed. We are trying to reschedule for late January. I’ll let you know when that happens.

If you already bought tickets, check www.fln.org for more info. Thanks! and pray for all those affected by the floods!!!! God Bless! Kevin Farnsworth

Family Life presents 33 Miles and Todd Agnew for this concert series.
Dove nominated, 33 Miles will entertain and inspire audiences. Listen closely and you’ll hear influences well beyond the Rascal Flatts stereotype applied to 33Miles in days past, a wall of sound reminiscent of artists like Coldplay, Train and One Republic. But that wall never overshadows the message of the gospel.
33 Miles will be joined by Todd Agnew, an artist who has long challenged listeners to ask better questions. Todd has found at least some of his needs fulfilled as of late: the need for companionship, family, roots and direction.
Advance sale tickets are $15 for General Admission, $19.50 for Artist Circle and $18 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here or calling Family Life’s ticket office at 800-927-9083.
