Prayer & Praise

Our friend from SC stopped by today. His son had surgery for a brain tumor. They removed and said he will have to undergo Radiation in about 6 weeks. Now today they shared that some of the tumor still remains. We pray for healing, comfort and strength for him and the family. Our friend will be heading back to SC this weekend and we pray for safe travels.

Hello Everyone! Our grandson got the gold star of the day!!! His surgery went great today, and though in the past I have not said nice things about this hospital, I will tell you that he absolutely had the best care ever! They were wonderful. The hospital tour was a great thing to do, because his fear and stress levels were at zero as he went in on surgery day looking for his favorite nurse. He obviously had hundreds of people praying for him because he not only talked to all the nurses on the way into the OR, he had a great conversation with the anesthesiologist. And they said he went out very quietly. He wasn’t afraid of the mask because he had seen it on the tour. They took out extremely enlarged adenoids and tonsils…the tubes are in the ears and we now know he is allergic to cats and mold and dust mites. He came out of anesthesia so easily. Two other little boys a couple of years younger than him had the same procedure done and they both came out screaming and crying, didn’t drink for a long time and wouldn’t touch the Popsicles…I felt so bad for them and was prepared for the same from him. When they rolled him out he didn’t talk much at first but was glad to drink, had a Popsicle and watched Dora for about an hour in recovery. He sure wasn’t hopping up and down, very lethargic but very cooperative with the nurses…said thank you when they brought him things…even when he got rid of a lot of mucus, he would give a thumbs up when they asked if he was OK, or yes please when they asked if he wanted his face wiped…what a trooper. I know it was the prayers that made the difference! I can’t imagine going into battle without them!!!!!

I would like to request prayers for our daughter, and son-in-law. He pastors a church and they are providing a temporary home at the parsonage for two teenage youth who have to be removed from their home situation.  Pray for this displaced family and that the situation will be resolved.  The family belongs to his church and the young people are members of the youth group there.  May God cover this situation with love and compassion.  Nothing is ever too much for our Lord!

Our good friend was enroute to New Hampshire and was in an automobile accident (black ice)…please pray, his vehicle is totaled however, God watched over them and they have only minor injuries. He truly needs prayers for peace in his life…

Prayer

As I write our prayer request, our hearts are heavy. There is so much that seems to be coming our way. We received word today that our grandson who is battling cancer was having a difficult day. We believe that he was taken to hospital. Were told that he was having difficulty with his vision and there was a point that he lost his vision. { not sure but think this was temporary. He was also having severe headaches too. We lift him in prayer as we continue to believe healing for him. We pray that God will give him courage that he needs and the strength to handle the difficult moments. We pray for the family that God will comfort and strengthen them.
We receive a call today from our friends to let us know that their son in law { who we have been praying for } passed away today. We pray for comfort as the family prepares for the funeral. We are also concern with her as she has recently finished he cancer treatment and sure that this is going to be very stressful. Our prayers also to his wife { they were recently married } and safe travels for all.
We also pray for our friend who daughter { 5 yrs old } was recently molested. We pray for her and also for her Dad who is having a difficult time with the situation. We pray for our needs here as this past year was a difficult year with school programs. We continue to believe and trust that God has all this in control.
Please keep my Aunt in prayer as she continues to deal with the recent death of her husband of 41 years. We pray for comfort and strength.

Please pray for our service men and women and their families at Hurlburt Field here in Florida. They lost 4 service men deployed in Africa in a plane crash last Sunday, another young man deployed in Afghanistan due to a sniper, and one of the two high ranking officers shot in their office in Afghanistan (in retaliation for burning their Koran) this week.

My son’s mother in-law is 84 and has been taken to the hospital with a variety of problems, there is a possibility of cancer, there may be surgery…she is frail and 84 and deeply loved by her family – prayers, please.  Please also pass this request on to other prayer chains at my son and daughter-in-laws request…we would like her blanketed in prayer.
