Team Application

Prayer and the Lord’s direction are the ingredients for choosing a team for Closer Walk. After a Weekend Leader has been chosen, through prayerful consideration by Secretariat, he(she) will meet with the Lay Director to review the names of those individuals who are interested in serving on a team. The Weekend Leader will be encouraged to develop a team from 1/3 very experienced individuals, 1/3 with some team experience, 1 or 2 times, and 1/3 serving for the first time. Individuals should serve behind the scenes as part of the community for at least one weekend before being chosen to be on a team. This gives the opportunity to see the flow of the weekend before serving. The team should be representative of the entire geographical area from Elmira to Canada and Rochester to Utica. After meeting with the Lay Director, the Weekend Leader, through prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit, will select the team members.
