Prayer Warriors,  please raise up prayers for the people already effected by Tropical Storm Isaac and the people that reside in the Gulf Coast area (New Orleans) as they prepare for Isaac to come in as a Category 2 hurricane on the 7th anniversary of Katrina.  Our daughter and son-in-law are UMC ministers in LA.  We know that God is in control and He is good all the time.  Thank you.

Please add prayers for our daughter. She made a Chrysalis Weekend in the early 1990’s. Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts brought her to the Gulf Coast. During Hurricane Gustav she happened to be home – which was hard on her as her coworkers evacuated there. This time, it will be hard on us, as we pray from a distance.

Please pray for my mom who had a heart attack yesterday, she was taken to hospita for a heart catherization. All went well and no stents were placed. There is a blockage, but apparently it is in a place that they don’t worry about??? She was told that she is going to be in the hospital for 3-4 days for monitoring. She was placed in a room and was conversing with us, so we left so that she could rest. We thought all was well… apparently not, as she is not being up front with the nurses, etc, (she thinks if she doesn’t say anything she will get to go home…) Well, my sister (she is a nurse herself) called the nurses station after talking to mom, meds have now been administered for the continuing chest pains, another EKG has been done, and I am on my way back to hospital to find out what is going on. Please also pray for travel mercies for all of us.
Also, my brother in law who works in the prison system has just been given a new job and starts next week, this is a very serious move as he will be back into maximum security and my sister just got another job as a nurse at another prison, so they both have major changes happening this week, and this only makes it more frustrating for everyone. (especially when mom won’t cooperate)
My husband has also been on disability since August 6th and is not getting better, so please wrap him in prayer also.
Please just wrap our family in prayer… Thank you

Please pray for my brother who has lung issues and is now on oxygen all the time.  Please pray for my sister, who just found out she has a detached retina and needs eye surgery, and please pray for my brother-in-law who just had an MRI on his brain.  We are traveling to see my family,  and I’m asking for traveling mercies.

We ask for your prayers as this has been a very draining week for us. Last Sunday we had an issue with our Grandaughter and her boyfriend of 3 years. She has been in a VERY abusive relationship. On Monday her grandmother took her to police, showed pictures of recent beating. He is currently in jail. She is working on custody of her two children. We have been praying for a long time. We think she has had it. We pray that God will give her the confidence she needs for herself and the children.
We got news from our daughter. She found out the was an arrest warrent out for her since 1996. She is flying in today. We pray for safe travels as we go to get her. We pray for this situation to get resolved. We are not sure of details. This also happened back when she was in a car accident with head trama, some things she does not remember. We pray for comfort, strength for each of us. We pray for guidance and favor in this situation. Some things may have involved her Dad at the time and he has passed away two years ago. Keep us all in prayer. Never a dull moment

I will be leaving Tuesday to go back to Hawaii to be with my daughter, while she has surgery on her thyroid again. They are taking the right side out now and in 60-90 days she will be moving back to NY to have her radiation. In the meantime, my boys start school and my other daughter moves back to college to start her senior yr. of college.

Prayers needed for a family I know who are going through a rough time. God knows their needs.

I want to thank you all very much My surgery went well and I am home. I have some pain but I’m doing ok. thank you thank you so much for your prayers love you all.

Please say a prayer for my cousin she is battling Stage 4 breast cancer. The outlook doesn’t look very good for her.

Please pray for my sisters brother in law he was sent to hospital with blood clots in his legs and in his lungs.

Prayers please for my nephew, as he had another stroke and seizures today.
Update  thank you all – the night nurse told his sister he had a quiet and uneventful evening. I pray that it continues…

Sunday, August 26, 6:30 PM the Racquette Valley Ultreya will meet at the Potsdam United Methodist Church, 26 Main Street. We will sing, pray, reconnect with each other, share in Holy Communion and Praise the Lord! Please bring your love of our Lord, songbooks, nametags, etc.

Quite a few of the candidates on the men’s and women’s weekends in Massena are from our Ultreya area – we hope to meet them Sunday evening and welcome them to our group. Thank you for your support of the weekend candidates, team and all involved in this ministry.

Please keep a friend’s dad in your prayers. He went to hospital today and he just been transported. I know she and her family appreciate the prayers.

Please also keep a friend in your prayers. She is having some medical issues and needs prayers for healing.
